Terms of Service

Last updated: 24 October 2026 · English

Operator

The operator of PacketVisit (marketing site and web application) is Jordanics Ferenc, a sole trader in Hungary. Registered address: Hunyadvár utca 95., 1165 Budapest, Hungary.

These Terms govern access to the PacketVisit website and application. By using PacketVisit you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Refund & Cancellation Policy, and the Medical Disclaimer.

1. The service

PacketVisit provides tools for individual end users (B2C) to record self-reported experiences and export summaries (“visit packets”) that you may choose to share with clinicians. It is a wellness / personal journal product — not a medical device, not clinical decision support, and not a clinic-facing EHR or healthcare-provider data-processing service. We do not offer a B2B clinical DPA for the current product. Optional weather context is environmental data for your notes — not a medical forecast.

2. Eligibility

You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction and meet our minimum age policy (see Privacy Policy).

3. Accounts

You are responsible for credentials and activity on your account. Notify us of unauthorized use. We may suspend accounts for abuse or risk.

4. Local data & backups

Diary data is intended to remain on your device (this browser’s storage, or later iOS / Android app sandboxes). PacketVisit does not host your journal as a cloud health database. Data & backup produces a file you save — not automatic sync to our servers. Switching browsers or devices may result in an empty diary unless you import your own backup. You are responsible for exports you create and share. Account / Premium status is not a cloud diary sync.

5. Subscriptions & Paddle (Merchant of Record)

Paid web subscriptions are sold by Paddle.com Market Limited (and/or its affiliates) as Merchant of Record. Paddle handles checkout, invoices, applicable VAT/GST/sales tax, and related payment compliance. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle’s Buyer Terms.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides customer service inquiries related to payments and handles returns for purchases processed through Paddle.

List prices: $7.99 USD / month or $79.99 USD / year, with a 14-day free trial (card required) on first-time Premium. Cancellation and refunds: see Refund & Cancellation.

6. Acceptable use

  • Do not misuse the service, attempt unauthorized access, or disrupt systems
  • Do not use PacketVisit for emergencies or chest-related symptoms
  • Do not upload unlawful content

7. Intellectual property

PacketVisit branding, software, and site content are owned by us or our licensors. You retain rights to your diary content.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. SEE THE MEDICAL DISCLAIMER. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for clinical or health outcomes arising from use or inability to use the service — including reliance on diary entries or visit-packet exports as medical advice, delayed or avoided professional care, self-treatment without a clinician, or medication decisions you make on your own. See also the Medical Disclaimer.

Subject to the same limits, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from or related to the service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to us (or via Paddle for PacketVisit Premium) in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or (b) fifty US dollars (USD $50) if you paid nothing — except where such a cap is not permitted.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations — those parts may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (for example liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, where such rules apply).

10. Consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms limits non-waivable consumer rights under EU, UK, US state, Canadian, or other applicable law — including mandatory digital-content conformity rights for EU consumers where they apply.

11. Dispute resolution for US and Canadian residents

Binding arbitration and class action waiver. If you reside in the United States or Canada, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the use of PacketVisit shall be resolved by binding, individual arbitration, rather than in court. You and PacketVisit agree to waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action, class arbitration, or representative proceeding.

This Section 11 applies only to residents of the United States or Canada. It does not limit non-waivable consumer rights of users in the European Union, European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions where mandatory law prohibits such waivers. EU/EEA/UK consumers retain the court and law protections described in Sections 10 and 12.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hungary, without regard to conflict-of-law rules that would require another jurisdiction’s law. If you are a consumer residing in the European Union or the United Kingdom, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence. EU consumers may bring proceedings in the courts of their country of residence. For non-consumer disputes, the courts of Hungary shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory law and Section 11 for US/CA residents where that section applies.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted with a new date. Where the law requires, we will provide additional notice. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance, except where mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.
